Sadie Amara Calvano has become popular for her role as Violet Plunkett that she played on the CBS show Mom. Calvano is a native of California had a first interest in competing gymnastics. She later chose to make a move acting. The first time she appeared on screen was in 2010, in the episode of CBS's NCIS. One year later her first major-screen debut made it into the biographical drama film J Edgar. She became one of the top young actors in the industry in the following years. In 2011 she won the Young Artist Award nomination for Best Actress in TV Series as guest Actress 11-15. In 2013 she was nominated to win yet another Young Artist Award for her performance as a guest in the Disney XD comedy series, 'Kickin' It'. Calvano played the lead role in Mom's first three seasons. She also made several guest appearances during the fourth. The actress won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for the Best Female Actor - Rising Star because of her character in 'Mom'.
